We humans generated huge amounts of waste everyday.It is estimated that the everage person generates about 1kg of waste per day. multiply that by six billion people in the world today, the total waste generated boggles the mind.Most of the waste is simple discarded into the enviroment- air,land,rivers and seas.
This discard of waste into enviroment causes pollution of the enviroment.Such a practice is of no benefit to us.
Instead we need to recycle or reuse materials so that we reduce the amount of waste generated.The less waste we put into our enviroment the less we pollute it.
Materials that can be recycled include paper,wood products,metal,glass and some plastics.For example,old newspaper,magazines,cardboard boxes,soft-drink cans and bottles can be sold to the people who come round to collect them.
There are many ways of reusing or recycling materials.For example,you can make your own recycled paper from the old newspaper in your house.Many art and crafts book teach this fun activity.Plastic containers and bags can be reused instead of being discarded after one use.
Think before you throw away something you have used.You may find another use for it.Reuse,Recycle.Waste not,want not.
