Why we need rivers
Rivers are very important to people.They provide us with drinking water and food.Rivers are also source of water crops.
What causes river pollution.
The main cause of river pollution is the pollutants dumped into the rivers.there are three types of pollutants-householdwaste construction waste andindustrial waste.
Household waste is rubbish from the house such as plastics,bottles,cans,food and other kitchenwaste.Wooden planks.sawdust and oil drums are various forms of construction waste.industrial waste comes from factories.It includes toxic or poisonous chemicals that are dumped into the rivers.
What we can do.
We should do our part to help save the rivers.Firstly,we should stop throwing household waste into the rivers.Plastics,bottles and cans should be placed in recycling bins.Next,factory owners should think of proper ways to get rid of industril waste.Finally,we should report to the authorities if we see people dumping waste into the rivers.
